About

Ambient Engineering was incorporated in 1994. Originally located in Boston, it is now based in Hull, Massachusetts. Ambient is comprised of engineers and scientists who are dedicated to environmentally sound development, restoration and use of natural resources.

Ambient professionals believe that the production and distribution of energy and the use of land, air and water resources can be managed and optimized to meet the needs of communities, commerce and the environment.  Balancing these elements for clients is the demanding task to which Ambient brings its expert professionals.

Thomas J. Stevenson, PhD

TJ Stevenson
Dr. Thomas J. Stevenson brings more than twenty-five years’ experience in environmental science and engineering to his position as the President of Ambient Engineering, Inc.  This experience includes hazardous waste investigations and remediation; landfill and power plant siting and closure studies; industrial audits and water resource evaluation and permitting.

Dr. Stevenson is a Licensed Site Professional in the State of Massachusetts and is certified to provide reliable opinions about contaminated sites and remedial designs.  He was a Director of the Licensed Site Professional Association and the representative of the American Consulting Engineers Council to the Waste Site Advisory Committee which provides advice to the state on revision of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP).

David Bramley

David Bramley
David Bramley has over 30 years of civil and environmental engineering experience in New England. His experience ranges from design of wastewater treatment facilities to remedial design for contaminated soils and groundwater.  In addition, David has been an environmental muti-media compliance auditor for public and private sector clients. David holds the Professional Engineering license in each New England State and also in New York. He is a Licensed Site Professional in Massachusetts and a Licensed Environmental Professional in Connecticut.
